Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Update Reverses Controversial Zombies Change

Treyarch has responded to player feedback and rolled back a recent change to Black Ops 6's Zombies Directed Mode. The January 3rd update introduced adjustments that extended the time between rounds and increased the delay between zombie spawns after five looped rounds. This alteration proved unpopular with the community, hindering kill farming and camo challenge completion.

The January 9th patch notes confirm the reversal of this spawn delay modification. Treyarch acknowledged the negative impact, stating the change was "not fun," and restored the spawn delay to approximately 20 seconds at most after five looped rounds. This update also includes several bug fixes for Directed Mode on the Citadelle des Morts map, addressing issues with quest progression and visual glitches.

Further improvements include significant buffs to the Shadow Rift Ammo Mod. Activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies have all been increased, along with a 25% cooldown reduction.

Additional bug fixes and game adjustments are slated for the Black Ops 6 Season 2 update launching January 28th. Until then, players can continue to earn rewards by completing the Citadelle des Morts main quest.
