LEGO CEO Niels Christiansen has shared ambitious plans for the company, highlighting a significant push into the digital realm with a focus on video game development. LEGO aims to craft engaging experiences for children of all ages by creating games both independently and in collaboration with other developers.
"We are confident that, as long as we operate under the LEGO brand, we aim to create experiences for children of all ages across both digital and physical platforms. Developing games internally is something we are actively pursuing." - Niels Christiansen
This strategic move does not signal the end of LEGO's licensing agreements with third-party developers. Just last month, journalist Jason Schreier revealed that TT Games, renowned for its LEGO-themed titles, is currently developing a new LEGO game, likely linked to one of Warner Bros.' popular franchises.

LEGO's most notable digital endeavor to date is its ongoing partnership with Epic Games. The introduction of a LEGO-themed mode in Fortnite last year was a resounding success, quickly becoming one of the game's most beloved features.
Over the past two decades, LEGO has been closely associated with the adventure game series developed by TT Games. Although recent projects from the studio have been under wraps, there are whispers of a new LEGO Harry Potter game in development, inspired by the commercial triumph of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
Further demonstrating LEGO's adaptability in the gaming sector, the company partnered with 2K Games to launch LEGO 2K Drive, a racing game released last year. This venture underscores LEGO's commitment to diversifying its presence in the gaming industry.
