The much-anticipated public test server (PTS) for *Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2* is now live, offering players an early glimpse of the highly anticipated Update 7.0 and its accompanying patch notes. In a recent community post, publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Saber Interactive revealed that these preliminary patch notes for the PTS version include "most" of the 7.0 update features. However, the final patch notes may vary slightly as the development team continues to work on bug fixes.

Several significant balance adjustments are included, starting with an expanded weapon arsenal in PvE. All classes now have access to a broader range of weapons. A notable improvement addresses a long-standing issue in the Inferno Operation: if a player reaches the assembly area in the final stage of the level, other players will be automatically teleported there after 1:30 minutes, with a notification preceding the teleportation. This change resolves the griefing problem where players could block progress by staying outside the assembly area indefinitely.

Operations

  • Obelisk: Added a few new voiceovers to clarify objectives in the final gameplay sequence
  • Inferno: If a player reaches the assembly area in the final stage of the level, other players will be forcefully teleported there after some time (a notification will appear after 1:30, and the teleportation will occur 15 seconds later)

Bug Fixes

  • Occulus Bolt Carbine: Fixed a bug where the Master-Crafted - Alpha version had -15% spread instead of the intended +15% spread
  • Multi-Melta: Fixed a bug where the Rate-of-fire versions did not have an increased rate of fire. Now, the mastercrafted version has a 15% increase in RoF, the artificer version has a 25% increase, and the relic version has a 35% increase
  • Sniper Class: Fixed an incorrect stacking of the Sniper’s "Renewal" perk and the Sniper’s "Squad Renewal" perk
  • Tactical Class: Fixed the incorrect bonus stack with Auspex Scan
  • Heavy Class: Fixed the bonus to melee Charged attacks that mistakenly worked in addition to the bonus to all melee attacks
  • Trials: Fixed a bug causing occasional unintended player health regeneration
  • Other: Fixed the notification sound when more than one
