Ever dreamed of munching popcorn straight from the head of Galactus? If you're catching The Fantastic Four: First Steps in theaters, that quirky fantasy is about to become a reality. AMC Theatres has unveiled its exclusive "Giant Galactus Popcorn Vessel," and it’s already shaping up to be a must-have collector's item.

Standing at an impressive 17 inches tall, this popcorn bucket recreates the iconic upper half of Marvel’s cosmic villain, Galactus — portrayed in the film by Ralph Ineson of The Witch and Nosferatu fame. With glowing blue eyes and a shimmering purple helmet, the design is as eye-catching as it is eerie. The popcorn is served right out of the open top of his helmet, and each limited-edition bucket comes with a large serving of popcorn to fuel your cinematic adventure.

AMC isn’t stopping there. The theater chain is also offering a themed three-in-one snack combo inspired by the movie — meet the “H.E.R.B.I.E. Concessions Vessel.” This cleverly designed snack holder mimics the H.E.R.B.I.E. robot from First Steps, featuring dedicated compartments for a large popcorn, a large drink, and candy, making it both functional and fun.

It seems like AMC is stepping up its promotional game across the board — from wild novelty merchandise to, shall we say, more screen time for ads. The company recently announced a new advertising initiative in partnership with National CineMedia, which will bring additional pre-show commercials to select screenings starting July 1. These so-called “platinum spots” will run alongside standard trailers, with both AMC and National CineMedia sharing in the revenue.

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, AMC admitted initial hesitation but ultimately justified the move by pointing to competitors who’ve done the same without noticeable effects on attendance. “This is a strong indication that this NCM pre-show initiative does not negatively influence moviegoing habits,” the company said.

Meanwhile, Marvel dropped a fresh trailer this week for The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Among the highlights: our first glimpse of baby Franklin Richards nestled between Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) and Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), giving fans a rare moment of domestic calm before the chaos begins.

Though director Matt Shakman remained coy about Robert Downey Jr.’s potential appearance as Doctor Doom, many still believe the villain could make a surprise cameo — possibly in a post-credits scene.

Mark your calendars: The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters on July 25, 2025.
