Following reported delays in the Xbox certification process for their debut title, Enotria: The Last Song, Jyamma Games received a formal apology from Microsoft. This action comes after the developer publicly voiced frustration over a two-month period of radio silence from Microsoft regarding their Xbox submission.
Jyamma Games' initial announcement of an indefinite delay for the Xbox release of Enotria: The Last Song stemmed from what appeared to be a significant oversight by Microsoft. Jyamma CEO Jacky Greco previously stated on Discord: "You can ask Xbox why they haven't answered us for two months... Obviously they don't care about Enotria and they don't care about you... We've Xbox Series X/S version ready, but we can't proceed with submission and release."
However, following Microsoft's apology, Jyamma Games shifted their tone. On Twitter (X), the studio thanked Phil Spencer and his team for their swift response and assistance in resolving the situation. They also acknowledged the significant support from their player community, stating that their voices were heard and their commitment was deeply appreciated.
Jyamma Games confirmed ongoing collaboration with Microsoft, expressing hope for a prompt Xbox release.
Further details emerged on Enotria's Discord server, where Greco shared that Microsoft had apologized for the delay and were working to rectify the situation.
Jyamma Games isn't alone in facing Xbox release challenges. Funcom recently reported optimization issues porting Dune: Awakening to the Xbox Series S. While the PS5 and PC versions of Enotria: The Last Song are still slated for a September 19th release, the Xbox release date remains uncertain.
