*Hollow Era* is a thrilling Roblox game that plunges players into the captivating world of the **Bleach** anime. This guide will focus on the progression path for the **Shinigami (Soul Reaper)** archetype, one of the two main character types you can choose, with **Hollow** being the other. So, ready your Zanpakuto, channel your Reiatsu, and let's explore the *Hollow Era* Shinigami progression guide.
At the start of *Hollow Era*, you begin as a **Soul Spirit**, a recently deceased entity. To transform into a Shinigami or Soul Reaper, you must accept the first quest from the NPC known as **Hurt Shinigami**. She's in desperate need of assistance, and upon accepting her quest, you commit to the Shinigami path, locking you out from becoming a Hollow unless you later become a **Visored**. If you're keen on playing as a Hollow, check out our separate guide on Hollow progression.

During the initial phase where you choose between Shinigami and Hollow, time is of the essence. To become a Hollow, you simply break your chain. However, if you aim to be a Shinigami, the chain will gradually break on its own every two minutes. Ignoring this process will result in becoming a Hollow by default. If that happens, consult our guide on **resurrection moves** to navigate your Hollow journey.
After becoming a Shinigami, your first task is to purify 6 Lost Souls, aligning with the Shinigami's duty to maintain balance between life and death. Next, you'll find another NPC near Hurt Shinigami, who will task you with delivering a letter to a Doctor friend near the hospital.

Early quests are a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with your Shinigami abilities. Consider purchasing a $1,000 random sword of power from an Urahara shop. If you have the funds, the bus stop can serve as a teleport/fast travel option for $200, given the game's expansive map. For an even more convenient travel solution, you can purchase **infinite fast travel** in the Robux Shop for 149 Robux.

Subsequent quests are marked with a red crosshair, guiding you through various challenges. From defeating a single Hollow to taking down 5 Corrupted Shinigamis, you'll progress until you reach level 15. Quests in *Hollow Era* are categorized into repeatable, progression, and path-specific quests, such as those for Vizard and Airwalk.

To maximize your Shinigami potential, strategic investment of your skill points is crucial. The **Reiatsu Skill Tree** offers various **Kido** abilities, exclusive to Shinigami.
Kido and Reiatsu Nodes enhance your damage and Reiatsu output, respectively. Here are some key Kido abilities:
To unlock your **Shikai** in *Hollow Era*, you must reach level 15 and visit Urihiro to start the **Shikai Training** quest. Your challenge is to defeat **Urahara Kisuke**, earning 1,700 exp upon success, which then allows you to harness Shikai powers.

**Warning**: Facing Kisuke at level 15 can be tough if your character isn't fully optimized. Consider grinding to level 25 or higher before attempting this challenge if you're not confident in your abilities.
Upon unlocking Shikai, your weapon gains a random powerful ability. If you're not satisfied with the new power, you can re-roll it at Urahara Shop for a fee. Shikai activation requires a full Rage Bar, which fills as you deal or take damage. Press Y (default keybind) to activate Shikai, which will deactivate when your Reiatsu is depleted or you release the key.
Your Shikai Mastery Level increases with Mastery Points earned by using Shikai Skills. Higher Mastery Levels reduce the Rage spent during Shikai use and come with different aura effects and visual enhancements:
Once you've chosen the Shinigami path, becoming a **Visored** allows you to break the barrier between Shinigami and Hollow, using a **Hollow Mask** to switch between the two. To pursue this path, you must reach **level 50** and unlock the Vizard fighting style at the **Vizard’s Warehouse**.

To become a Visored, you'll need to obtain the **Hogyoku**, a mystical orb that breaks the barriers between Hollow and Shinigami. This involves defeating the **King of Hueco Mundo**, though the Hogyoku has a mere 1% drop rate. After acquiring the Hogyoku, you can proceed with the Visored progression.
As a Visored, you gain access to unique perks and buffs. **Mask Control** reduces the chance of your Hollow taking over, while the **Visored** node extends the duration you can wear the mask, enhancing your damage output with Hollow powers.

At the time of writing this guide, **Bankai** is not available in *Hollow Era*. However, given the game's popularity, it's likely that Bankai will be introduced in future updates. Keep an eye out for announcements regarding this powerful ability.
If you find yourself disoriented in combat, use **the lockup button** to focus on your primary target. This can be a lifesaver in a game that can sometimes be buggy and laggy. Learn to **block enemy attacks** early on, as even low-level enemies can deal significant damage. When you die, you'll lose some money, so consider investing in **bus teleport** to save time traveling between quests.
When allocating Skill Points, prioritize **Strength and Speed** initially for better damage output and mobility. Use your Reiatsu sense by pressing and holding J (default keybind) to reveal markers around **Karakura**. If you prefer less grind and more action, the Shinigami path might be more enjoyable than the Hollow route, which can be repetitive.
