Call of Duty: Warzone Glitch Causes Unfair Suspensions and Player Outrage

A game-breaking bug in Call of Duty: Warzone is causing widespread frustration among players, particularly those participating in Ranked Play. The glitch triggers automatic suspensions following game crashes caused by developer errors.

The Call of Duty franchise, despite its popularity, has recently faced considerable player backlash due to persistent glitches and cheating issues. While developers have implemented fixes and anti-cheat measures, the problems persist, even after a major update for Black Ops 6 and Warzone aimed at addressing these concerns.

A new glitch, highlighted on Twitter by CharlieIntel and DougisRaw, is causing crashes in Ranked Play to be incorrectly flagged as intentional quits. This results in a 15-minute suspension and a 50 Skill Rating (SR) penalty. The SR loss is especially damaging, affecting player rankings and end-of-season rewards.

Player Backlash and the Urgent Need for Action

The response from the Warzone community has been overwhelmingly negative. Players are expressing anger over lost win streaks and demanding SR compensation. The game's current state is being described by some as unacceptable. While glitches are inevitable, the frequency and impact of these issues in Black Ops 6 and Warzone are raising serious concerns.

This situation is further complicated by recent reports of a significant player drop-off in Black Ops 6, with player counts on platforms like Steam declining by almost 50%, despite new content releases, including a Squid Game crossover. This highlights the urgent need for immediate and effective developer intervention to resolve these issues and prevent further player loss.
