While starting with basic equipment, players progressively uncover weapons better suited to their preferred playstyles. This game blends roguelike and extraction elements, resulting in a unique approach to gear acquisition.

Acquiring New Weapons in Hyper Light Breaker

Exploring Overgrowths is the primary method for discovering new gear. While exploration yields random items, focusing on sword (Blades) or pistol (Rails) icons on the map directly leads to these weapon types.

Blades are melee weapons with unique movesets and abilities, while Rails are ranged weapons, each possessing distinct functionalities. Both weapon types come in varying rarities, with gold representing the highest rarity and, consequently, the best stats.

Utilize the Cache function to store any discovered weapon in your personal stash instead of immediately equipping it. This allows for loadout customization before subsequent runs.

Obtaining New Starting Weapons
