What's in store for existing players? Starting January 3rd, a new map inspired by the season two mini-game "Mingle" drops. Three new playable characters also debut throughout January: Geum-Ja, Yong-Sik, and Thanos (the rapper, not the Avenger!).

Geum-Ja and Thanos each get their own special in-game unlock events on January 3rd and 9th respectively. And for those watching the show, additional rewards await! Here's the January content roadmap for Squid Game: Unleashed:

• January 3rd: The Mingle map arrives, along with Geum-Ja. Her "Dalgona Mash Up Collection Event" runs until the 9th, challenging players to complete Mingle-inspired mini-games and collect Dalgona tins.
• January 9th: Thanos joins the roster, with his "Thanos’ Red Light Challenge" event running until the 14th. Players earn him by eliminating opponents using knives.
• January 16th: Yong-Sik, the final character in this wave, makes his in-game debut.
