Re-rolling your Avowed character? This guide shows you how to respec abilities, attributes, and even your companion.
Why Respec?
Choosing the right build at the start of Avowed can be tricky. This guide helps you adjust if your initial choices aren't working out, allowing you to optimize your character for a more enjoyable experience. Whether you're shifting from a pure mage to a spellsword, or fine-tuning your stats for maximum combat effectiveness, respeccing provides the flexibility you need.
Respeccing Abilities
To reset your ability points, open the main menu and select "Abilities." At the bottom, you'll find a "Reset Points" option. The cost (initially 100 Copper Skeyt) increases as you progress. Confirm the reset to redistribute your points across skill trees (excluding the unchangeable "Godlike" abilities).
Respeccing Attributes
Happy with your abilities but not your attributes? Open the main menu, go to "Character," and scroll down. Below your attribute list, you'll see a button to reset attribute points. The cost (starting at 100 Copper Skeyt) increases with gameplay. Pay the cost to reclaim your attribute points.
Respeccing Companions
Want to adjust your companion's build? Navigate to the "Abilities" section of the menu, then select the "Companions" tab. Under your companion's name, you'll find a button to respec their abilities. This requires paying a Copper Skeyt cost and must be done individually for each companion.
