How to Repair Dice in Citizen Sleeper 2

While playing *Citizen Sleeper 2*, it's inevitable that your dice will take damage at some point. In this guide, we'll explore how to repair them so you can get back to rolling effectively.

Why Dice Break in Citizen Sleeper 2

The primary reason dice break in *Citizen Sleeper 2* is due to Stress. As you progress through the game, you'll accumulate stress, particularly when you fail actions or find yourself in a "Starving" state. The more stress you have, the higher the likelihood of your dice breaking. Each die can withstand three hits before it requires repair.

How to Repair Dice in Citizen Sleeper 2

Although you might experience dice breaking early in the game while on Hexport, you won't be able to repair them until you reach Far Spindle. There, you'll meet a character named Bliss, who unlocks the Rig Workshop on your ship. When you're not engaged in a Contract, you can use the Rig Workshop to repair your dice. You'll have two repair options: Improvised Repairs and Dice Repair.

What’s the Difference Between Improvised Repairs and Dice Repair?

Improvised Repair costs 2 Scrap Components and will fix one die, but it increases the Glitch meter, raising the risk of ending up with a glitched die.

Dice Repair, on the other hand, requires 1 Rare Component, which are harder to find but add less to the Glitch meter. If you can afford it, Dice Repair is generally the better option. However, using Improvised Repair didn't cause me too many issues. By the end of *Citizen Sleeper 2*, obtaining Rare Components becomes easier, so there's no need to be overly cautious with them.

Can You Repair Glitched Dice?

Occasionally, depending on your difficulty setting, you might end up with glitched dice, which have a 20 percent chance of a positive outcome and an 80 percent chance of a negative one. While the game doesn't offer a clear method to repair them, certain story events, particularly after the "Diagnose Your Frame" drive, can repair a single glitched die. So, there's still hope!
