Get ready for a double dose of Voltorb in the next Pokémon GO Spotlight Hour! This Tuesday, January 7th, 2025, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, both Voltorb and Hisuian Voltorb will be featured. This presents a fantastic opportunity to catch and potentially snag shiny versions of both Pokémon.

Prepare for a Catching Spree:

With two Pokémon in the spotlight, stock up on Poké Balls, Berries, and Incense. You'll be catching double the usual amount, so ample storage space is also crucial.

Voltorb (#100, Kanto):

Voltorb, the Electric-type Pokémon, offers 3 Candies and 100 Stardust upon capture. It evolves into Electrode using 50 Candies. Boasting a max CP of 1141, 109 Attack, and 111 Defense, it packs a punch. However, it's weak against Ground-type attacks (160% damage) and resists Electric, Flying, and Steel-type attacks (63% damage). The optimal moveset is Spark and Discharge, delivering 5.81 DPS and 40.62 TDO. Rainy weather boosts its attack. A blue Shiny Voltorb awaits discovery.

Hisuian Voltorb (#100, Hisui):

Sharing the same Pokédex number, Hisuian Voltorb also yields 3 Candies and 100 Stardust. Evolution to Hisuian Electrode requires 50 Candies. It mirrors Voltorb's stats (1141 CP, 111 Defense, 109 Attack). While also Electric-type, its type matchups differ. It takes increased damage from Bug, Fire, Ice, and Poison types (160% damage), while resisting Grass, Steel, and Water types (63% damage), and other Electric types (39% damage). Its best moveset is Tackle and Thunderbolt, resulting in 5.39 DPS and 37.60 TDO. Partly Cloudy and Rainy weather enhance its damage output. Look for its distinctive black Shiny variant.

Don't miss this exciting Spotlight Hour! Maximize your chances of catching these electrifying Pokémon and their shiny counterparts.
