Supercell, the Finnish game developer, has made a surprising announcement. Following the cancellation of their RPG, Clash Heroes, they've revealed a new project: Project R.I.S.E. This isn't simply a revival, but a complete reimagining.
Clash Heroes is officially discontinued. Confirming earlier rumors, it joins Clash Mini as a shelved project. However, Supercell is giving fans a new experience. Project R.I.S.E., a social action RPG roguelite, will inherit the Clash universe's spirit.
Supercell's announcement video features Julien Le Cadre, the game lead, stating that while Clash Heroes is gone, Project R.I.S.E. is a multiplayer-centric action RPG within the Clash universe.
For more details, watch the announcement video:
Project R.I.S.E. shares similarities with Clash Heroes but is a completely new game. It's a social action RPG roguelite where players team up in groups of three to conquer The Tower. Each playthrough explores a different floor, aiming for the highest possible level. Unlike its predecessor's PvE focus, Project R.I.S.E. emphasizes cooperative gameplay with diverse characters.
Currently in pre-alpha, Project R.I.S.E. is scheduled for its first playtest in early July 2024. Registration is open on the official website.
