Magical Magus Weaknesses & Skills

The Magical Magus presents a significant threat due to its potent offensive capabilities.

Its attacks primarily focus on fire-based damage. Acquiring fire-resistance accessories from golden chests within the castle is highly recommended. These accessories prove beneficial not only against the Magical Magus but also during the final boss fight.

The Magical Magus's most dangerous move is Agilao, a powerful fire spell often preceded by a magic-charging animation. Guard on the following turn to mitigate its substantial damage. Hysterical Slap, a double-hit physical attack, is also a threat, but less so than Agilao. Strategically, it's advisable for Chie and Yosuke to focus on guarding, while the protagonist utilizes light-based attacks.

Early-Game Light-Skill Persona

Archangel, a level 11 Persona, is the optimal choice for early-game light-based attacks. It naturally possesses Hama, an instant-kill move effective against the Magical Magus's light weakness. Furthermore, Archangel learns Media at level 12, a valuable healing skill for the final boss battle.

Archangel can be fused using:

• Slime (Level 2)
• Forneus (Level 6)

Hama's near-guaranteed success makes the Magical Magus surprisingly easy to defeat. Farming this enemy can be advantageous, provided you have sufficient SP-restoring items or are willing to enter the final boss fight with reduced SP.
