Path of Exile 2's trade chat buzzes constantly with players seeking White Stellar Amulets, often offering 10 to 15 Exalted Orbs each. This high demand might puzzle newcomers. Why are these amulets so valuable? The answer lies in their potential for transformation. Anyone paying this price either needs the amulet for a specific build or plans to convert it into something even more lucrative. Let's break it down.

What Makes White Stellar Amulets Valuable in Path of Exile 2?

Normal (white) Stellar Amulets, possessing only the inherent "+# to All Attributes" modifier, are key ingredients in crafting the incredibly valuable Astramentis Stellar Amulet. This transformation is achieved using an Orb of Chance.

Astramentis is exceptionally powerful due to its massive attribute boost (+80-120 to All Attributes). This synergizes perfectly with the Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps, another highly sought-after Unique item, which scales attack speed and lightning damage based on Intelligence and Dexterity.

Crucially, only white Stellar Amulets can be used to create Astramentis. Blue (Magic) or Yellow (Rare) amulets won't work. This scarcity explains the premium placed on normal Stellar Amulets.

Should You Sell White Stellar Amulets or Use the Orb of Chance?

The odds of successfully crafting Astramentis with an Orb of Chance are extremely low. Even using a large number of Stellar Amulets (say, 100) doesn't guarantee success. While incredibly lucky outcomes are possible, they're statistically improbable.

The choice is yours: sell your White Stellar Amulets for a guaranteed return of 10-30 Exalted Orbs (depending on market fluctuations), or take a high-risk, high-reward gamble on crafting Astramentis. It's a decision each player must make based on their risk tolerance.

How to Use Orb of Chance To Get Astramentis in PoE 2

To attempt the transformation, place the normal Stellar Amulet in your inventory. Right-click the Orb of Chance and left-click the amulet to begin. The possible outcomes are:

  • The amulet is destroyed.
  • The amulet is upgraded to a unique of the same base type. Two possibilities exist:
    1. Astramentis (the desired outcome)
    2. Fixation of Yix (a less desirable unique)

Remember, Fixation of Yix is far more common than Astramentis. And if the gamble fails, your Stellar Amulet will be lost.
