Krafton and Pocket Pair are joining forces to bring the monster-catching game, Palworld, to mobile devices. Krafton, known for PUBG, will leverage its expertise to adapt Palworld's core gameplay for mobile platforms through its subsidiary, PUBG Studios. This collaboration signifies a significant expansion of the Palworld intellectual property.

While excitement is high, details remain scarce. The original Palworld launched on Xbox and Steam in January, later arriving on PlayStation 5 (excluding Japan). This regional exclusion may be linked to an ongoing legal dispute between Nintendo and Pocket Pair regarding potential patent infringement on Pokéball mechanics. Pocket Pair denies any knowledge of specific patent violations.

Krafton's involvement is strategic, given Pocket Pair's current focus on expanding the existing game. However, the mobile project is likely in its early stages.
