The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered breathes new life into one of Bethesda's most beloved titles with enhanced visuals, refined gameplay systems, and fresh content - yet the Virtuos development team wisely preserved one of the original's most legendary voice lines.

Seasoned Elder Scrolls players will immediately recognize Master Speechcraft trainer Tandilwe, the High Elf residing in the Temple of the One within Imperial City. When Oblivion first launched 19 years ago on PC and Xbox 360, players quickly noticed Tandilwe ironically needed speech training herself. One particular voice line appears to be an accidental recording of actress Linda Kenyon repeating a take.

As players explored the revitalized Cyrodiil landscape, many sought confirmation about how authentic this comprehensive remaster truly is. While environments, character models, and items have all received modern visual upgrades, fans have celebrated the preservation of the charming imperfections that made the 2006 classic so special. Tandilwe's infamous blooper remains completely intact - even lacking subtitles just like the original.

During a 2019 interview, Kenyon became aware of her accidental voice line becoming internet famous, humorously defending herself: "It wasn't my fault!"

While debates continue about whether this release qualifies as a remaster or full remake, many players simply appreciate seeing the original game's quirky charm preserved. This authenticity was a key priority for both Bethesda and Virtuos during development - and the decision appears warmly received by both longtime fans and newcomers alike.
