NetEase's popular mobile horror game, Dead by Daylight Mobile, is officially shutting down. After four years, the Android version will cease operation on March 20th, 2025. This news comes as a surprise to many fans of the 4v1 survival horror title, a mobile adaptation of Behaviour Interactive's successful PC and console game.
For those unfamiliar, Dead by Daylight Mobile pits four Survivors against one Killer in a thrilling game of cat and mouse. Players can choose to either hunt Survivors as the Killer, offering them up to The Entity, or strive for survival as a Survivor, evading capture.
The game will be removed from app stores on January 16th, 2025, preventing new downloads. Existing players can continue to enjoy the game until the final shutdown date in March. NetEase will provide details on the refund process for in-app purchases on January 16th, adhering to regional regulations.
Players wishing to continue their Dead by Daylight experience can transition to the PC or console versions. A special Welcome Package awaits those making the switch, and loyalty rewards will be offered for existing mobile players based on their in-game spending and progress.
