Want to use or mute voice chat in Monster Hunter Rise? Multiplayer doesn't necessitate constant communication. However, if you prefer in-game voice chat without using Discord or other external platforms, here's how to manage it.
All voice chat settings reside within the game's audio options. Access the in-game or main menu options, then navigate to the third tab from the right. Scroll down slightly to locate the Voice Chat settings. You'll find three options: Enable, Disable, and Push-to-Talk. "Enable" keeps voice chat constantly active; "Disable" turns it off completely; and "Push-to-Talk" activates voice chat only when a designated keyboard key is pressed (keyboard only).
Further options control voice chat volume and auto-toggling. Auto-toggle prioritizes voice chat with either quest members (those currently in your hunt), link party members (those in a party with you, useful for collaborative story progression), or disables automatic switching. Quest members are generally the most frequently used setting.
That covers voice chat in Monster Hunter Rise. While the audio quality isn't as polished as dedicated apps, the in-game option offers convenience, particularly for cross-platform play.
