Hangry Morpeko Is Coming To Pokémon GO This Halloween!

Pokémon GO's Halloween event is almost here! Niantic has revealed the details for Part 1 (with a Part 2 to follow!), promising exciting features and spooky Pokémon encounters.

The event begins Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time and runs until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

What's in store?

Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, especially in Team GO Rocket battles and GO Battle League. Morpeko's Full Belly and Hangry Modes change its Aura Wheel attack (100 power) between Electric and Dark types, respectively, also boosting Attack.

During the event, Morpeko will appear more frequently in the GO Battle League's premium track, and afterward at Rank 16 and above (though still more common in premium battles).

A Spooky Celebration!

Pokémon GO will feature special Halloween decorations, and a remix of the classic Lavender Town theme will play nightly. Enjoy this spooky remix!

A free Timed Research event, running from October 22nd to November 3rd, focuses on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. Completing tasks rewards encounters with Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
