Hamaguchi highlighted the success of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in 2024, citing its numerous awards and global player engagement. This success fuels the team's ambition to broaden the FFVII fanbase with the third game, promising unique challenges for players.

Interestingly, Hamaguchi also mentioned being impressed by Grand Theft Auto VI this year, expressing empathy for the Rockstar Games team and acknowledging the immense pressure they face following GTA V's phenomenal success.
