Deadlock's February Update: Minor Tweaks, Major Impacts
Valve continues its ongoing support for Deadlock with another update, this time focusing on specific hero adjustments and item rebalances. While small in scope, the changes significantly impact several key aspects of gameplay.
Calico suffered a considerable nerf. Her Return to Shadows ability received a substantial cooldown increase (ten seconds) and a 20% speed reduction shifted to tier 2. Additionally, the damage output of her tier 2 Leaping Slash was decreased.
Sinclair received a visual overhaul with updated sounds and animations, and his Rabbit Hex ability has been transformed into an area-of-effect (AoE) attack. Holliday and Wraith also experienced nerfs, though the specifics weren't detailed.
Item adjustments include a reduction in stacks for Ammo Scavenger, removing its health bonus. Furthermore, Extra Stamina and Restorative Shot no longer boost fire rate and weapon damage respectively.

This marks the fifth Deadlock update of 2025, and the first for February. Valve has adopted a more flexible update schedule, releasing patches as needed rather than adhering to a rigid timeline. This latest update is a prime example of their responsive development approach.
