Avowed: Post-Game Content Revealed

While *Avowed*'s Living Lands feel vast, the main quest surprisingly concludes relatively quickly. If you're craving more after the credits roll, here's what awaits you post-game.

Does *Avowed* Have New Game Plus?

Many RPG fans relish replaying the main quest on higher difficulties, leveraging acquired skills and gear. Unfortunately, Avowed doesn't currently offer New Game Plus. While not available at launch, it's possible Obsidian could add this feature via future updates or DLC, especially given player demand.

However, even without New Game Plus, replayability exists. Avowed's branching choices significantly impact the story and gameplay, making a fresh save worthwhile to explore different endings and character builds.

Does *Avowed* Have Endgame Content?

Avowed features four main regions, plus a hidden final area and a return to a major city (details withheld to avoid spoilers). This late-game section presents a significant challenge, requiring Legendary Quality Weapons and Gear. However, this challenge doesn't extend to earlier regions, and no new areas unlock post-completion. The inability to revisit the Living Lands, shaped by your choices, is a notable omission.

What You Can Do After Beating *Avowed*

Avowed's post-game is somewhat limited by the absence of New Game Plus and endgame content. Upon finishing the final encounter, you'll watch several minutes of cutscenes detailing the consequences of your decisions. Then, you're returned to the main menu.

From there, you can start a new game or reload a previous save. Autosaves from just before the point of no return and the final encounter should be accessible. This allows replaying those sections with altered choices for varied story outcomes.

Reloading to a pre-point-of-no-return save also lets you revisit earlier regions. Clean up the map, earn achievements, complete missed side quests, and collect unfound items. Crucially, enemies in these earlier areas won't scale to your level, making a return trip with high-level gear incredibly rewarding.
