Jingle Hells, the holiday-themed map in Black Ops 6 Zombies, introduces unique mechanics for weapon upgrades and item acquisition. Forget the Arsenal Machine; Aether Tools are your key to weapon upgrades.
Weapon Upgrades in Jingle Hells
Unlike the standard Black Ops 6 Zombies mode, Jingle Hells omits the Arsenal Machine. Instead, you'll rely on Aether Tools – consumable items with varying rarity levels (color-coded). Using an Aether Tool upgrades your weapon to that tool's rarity tier (e.g., a purple Aether Tool upgrades to Legendary). Here's how to obtain them:
- Church Spire: Throw a grenade at the zombie head atop the church spire. The higher the round, the better the rarity of the dropped Aether Tool.
- Bank Vault: Loot Keys unlock safety deposit boxes within the Bank Vault, offering a chance at Aether Tools.
- S.A.M. Trials: Completing S.A.M. Trials, aiming for the highest reward tier, can yield Aether Tools.
- Hidden Power GobbleGum: Instantly upgrade your weapon to Legendary rarity.
- Mystery Box, Wall Buys, Holiday Presents: Weapons obtained from these sources increase in rarity as rounds progress.
Ammo Mods: Cryo Freeze
In Jingle Hells, the Cryo Freeze Ammo Mod is the only available option. It drops as a consumable item and is primarily found within Holiday Presents. These presents contain random loot, with higher-rarity items dropping in later rounds. Holiday Presents can be obtained in several ways:
- Enemy Kills: They occasionally drop from regular enemy kills.
- Naughty or Nice Power-up: The stocking-shaped power-up grants either a "Nice" (multiple Holiday Presents) or "Naughty" (increased vermin enemies) effect.
- S.A.M. Machine: The S.A.M. Machine spawns several Holiday Presents around it when it appears.
Equipment and Support
The Workbench is also absent in Jingle Hells, meaning no Salvage-based crafting. However, equipment and support items can still be acquired:
- Enemy Kills: Equipment drops from regular enemy kills.
- Holiday Presents: Can contain equipment.
- Special/Elite Enemy Kills: Support items drop from these enemies.
- S.A.M. Trials: Can reward equipment and support.
- Bank Vault Deposit Boxes: May contain equipment and support.
