The game unfolds on a bizarre space station orbiting Jupiter, a location shrouded in acid rain and mystery. Here, intelligent orangutans work the docks alongside cultists bartering flesh for spiritual enlightenment.

Lila, a woman with the extraordinary ability to conjure universes from her hand, is at the heart of the narrative. The game begins with the player controlling the Master, a skeletal cultist from the Cult of Detachment, landing in a ramshackle mining colony.

Exploring this quirky colony, filled with peculiar shops, the Master eventually discovers Honin’s Tea House, Lila’s establishment. The mystery surrounding Lila gradually unfolds as the player shifts between her perspective and the Master's.

Gameplay involves Lila's universe-creation mini-game, where players combine ingredients to generate visually stunning worlds. Meanwhile, the Master delves into the Cult of Detachment's philosophies and encounters the Church of Many Gods.

The narrative develops as players uncover the game's central mystery. Each character, be it human, skeletal, or robotic, possesses a unique story, enriching the richly detailed world.
