Stardew Valley 1.6 Update Hits Mobile This November

Stardew Valley's highly anticipated 1.6 update finally arrives on mobile devices on November 4th, 2024! Console and mobile gamers can now experience the massive update, initially released on PC in March 2024.

What's New in Stardew Valley 1.6 Mobile?

This update significantly expands the game. Online multiplayer now supports up to eight players, doubling the previous limit for collaborative farming, fishing, and building. Two exciting fishing festivals—the Trout Derby and SquidFest—join the seasonal event lineup, including the Desert Festival.

A brand-new farm layout, the Meadowlands, offers ample space for livestock and convenient fishing opportunities. Over 100 new NPC dialogue options enhance interactions with the town's residents, adding depth to relationships.

Stardew Valley 1.6 introduces a wealth of new items: a Big Chest (nearly double the capacity of a standard chest), a dehydrator for preserving produce, a heavy furnace, and a bait maker for crafting specialized fish lures.

Customization options abound with new furniture styles and over 25 new hats. Players can collect prize tickets from quests and festivals, redeemable at a prize machine in Lewis's house.

After maximizing your initial pet's affection, you can now have multiple pets, each potentially bringing gifts, and even sporting hats! Additionally, NPCs now don winter attire for a seasonal touch.

A golden Joja parrot assists in locating elusive golden walnuts on Ginger Island. New crops include carrots, summer squash, broccoli, powdermelon, and two giant crop varieties.

Reasons for the Delay

The delay in releasing the 1.6 update for mobile and consoles allowed the developers to thoroughly test the update on PC, ensuring a smoother experience for all players.

Get ready to explore the new fishing events, bond with your expanded pet collection, and cultivate the new crops! Download Stardew Valley from the Google Play Store and revitalize your neglected farm. Stay tuned for our next article on Airplane Chefs and their onboard Pringles!
