Pokémon TCG Pocket launches its hotly-anticipated trading feature and Space-Time Smackdown

Pokémon TCG Pocket’s highly anticipated trading feature has finally arrived, launching alongside the exciting new Space-Time Smackdown expansion! This update brings a much-requested feature to the game, allowing players to trade cards with friends, mirroring the real-life experience. While trading is a welcome addition, there are some limitations. Currently, only certain rarities (1-4 and 1-star cards) are tradeable, and players will need trade hourglasses and tokens to facilitate trades.

The Space-Time Smackdown expansion introduces iconic Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia to TCG Pocket, alongside the beloved Sinnoh region starters: Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup. Many more exciting additions are included in this substantial update!

The reception to the new trading feature has been mixed, with some players expressing disappointment. While the implementation is solid, the numerous restrictions—such as resource requirements and rarity limitations—have been a source of frustration for many. Some argue that a more unrestricted trading system, or even the omission of the feature altogether, might have been preferable.
