This leak marks a significant development, as it would introduce the first legendary Dynamax Pokémon to Pokémon GO. While Dynamax Pokémon debuted in September 2024, these iconic Kanto birds represent a highly anticipated addition to the Max Raid format.

The Kanto legendary birds have consistently been fan favorites. Their previous appearances in standard raids, alongside their Shiny variants, solidified their popularity. Furthermore, the Galarian forms were introduced in Daily Incense spawns in 2023 (albeit with a lower spawn rate), and Shiny Galarian versions became available in October 2024.

The hasty deletion of the announcement suggests the information was prematurely released. However, if accurate, the inclusion of these powerful legendary birds in Dynamax Raids could revitalize participation in Max Battles, which have faced criticism from some players due to their perceived difficulty and reliance on large groups (40 players) for success.

The potential challenges associated with Dynamax legendary raids remain to be seen. Past Max Raids faced criticism for their difficulty, particularly when player participation fell short of the required 40-person teams. Whether these issues will persist with the legendary Dynamax Pokémon is yet unknown.
