How To Rob Vaults and Cases in Fortnite's Community Challenge

Fortnite's midseason update for Chapter 6, Season 2 introduces an intriguing new Community Quest system. Players must work together to obtain The Outlaw Keycard, a mysterious new item that unlocks special content. Here's what you need to know about this unique team-based challenge.

The Outlaw Keycard Mystery

Following the introduction of the Outlaw Midas skin, Epic Games has added a puzzling new challenge tab for the Outlaw Keycard. While details remain scarce, completing this community-wide mission will upgrade the keycard's rarity and provide access to new in-game areas and services.

This requirement has left many players confused, as it currently blocks progress on the next batch of Story Quests until completed. The challenge appears designed to encourage coordinated gameplay across the entire Fortnite community.

How the Community Challenge Works

To progress the challenge, players must enter Battle Royale matches and target Fletcher Kane's vaults and cases. The mechanic resembles previous community events like the Doctor Doom boss battle, where players collaborated to defeat a powerful enemy.

Early attempts suggest this challenge requires more coordination than previous events. Initial vault robberies made negligible progress on the collective goal, indicating that massive community participation is necessary for completion.

Patience Required

With the next set of Outlaw Quests scheduled for March 25th, Epic Games appears to anticipate this challenge taking significant time. While the two-week wait may disappoint some players, the newly added Golden Gunslinger Quests offer alternative content during this period.

For those eager for more Fortnite action, rumors continue to circulate about potential collaborations coming to the Lawless season. The game remains available across multiple platforms, including Meta's Quest VR headsets.
