Nintendo has issued a statement addressing reports of a server breach by the hacking collective Crimson Collective, asserting that no development or business information was compromised.

In a comment provided to the Japanese newspaper The Sankei Shimbun, Nintendo indicated that any potential intrusion was minor, affecting only servers hosting its public websites.

This brief statement, provided below, notably does not reference the other major hacking incident dominating gaming news this week: the ongoing dissemination of Pokémon franchise development details. This leak stems from a confirmed breach of developer Game Freak's servers last year.

Nintendo had previously sought to identify those responsible for last year's so-called "Teraleak" of Pokémon information, which initially appeared limited to data on older projects. However, the company's efforts to locate the source seem to have had limited success. This week, a new batch of internal documents, which appear to outline The Pokémon Company's game release roadmap through at least 2030, emerged online, coinciding with the announcement of Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

Last week, Crimson Collective claimed responsibility for breaching Nintendo's systems, and an image allegedly showing a directory of Nintendo development files circulated widely on social media. "We have not confirmed any leak of personal information, and there has been no leak of development or business information," Nintendo's statement clarifies.

IGN has reached out to Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for comment regarding the latest spread of information from the Teraleak but has not yet received a response.
