Enter the Gungeon: Android Co-op Arrives This Summer

Enter the Gungeon and Exit the Gungeon are launching on Android this summer. Dodge Roll and Devolver Digital are bringing their acclaimed bullet hell dungeon crawlers to mobile, packed with significant new features. The release will also feature a special crossover with Cult of the Lamb.

Mobile development is handled by XD Network, under the supervision of Dodge Roll and Devolver Digital. XD Network previously managed the Chinese mobile adaptations of both titles.

The bullet hell dungeon crawler Enter the Gungeon will be priced at $8.99 on mobile. Meanwhile, its arcade-style spinoff, Exit the Gungeon, will be available for $4.99. This fast-paced 2D bullet hell platformer was formerly exclusive to Apple Arcade.

What's New in Enter & Exit the Gungeon for Android?

The mobile edition of Enter the Gungeon debuts online co-op multiplayer, a first for the series. Earlier console and PC versions supported local multiplayer only.

Players can also take control of The Lamb, the fluffy protagonist from Massive Monster's Cult of the Lamb. This character comes equipped with unique abilities and a brand-new weapon in the mobile release.

When Is the Release Date?

Enter & Exit the Gungeon are scheduled to release on Android on August 15th, 2025. Both games follow a try-before-you-buy approach, letting you play the first chamber for free, unlock items, and carry over your progress if you purchase the full game later.

Note that save data from PC or console versions cannot be transferred. All mobile-exclusive content, including the Cult of the Lamb collaboration, remains a platform exclusive for the time being.

Controller support is implemented in both titles. Porting Enter the Gungeon's precise twin-stick controls to touchscreens posed a notable challenge for the developers. Since the game is demanding even with a controller, the mobile version includes an optional auto-aim feature. Pre-register now on the Google Play Store.

Exit the Gungeon, by contrast, was conceived with mobile gameplay in mind, delivering a more arcade-oriented experience. You can pre-register for it on the Google Play Store as well.
