For instance, naming your merchant Christopher will result in the town being known as Christopherburg. To unlock the Yellow Orb, you'll need to found and nurture this village to maturity.
To embark on your journey to Merchantburg, you must first acquire Black Pepper for the King of Portoga and subsequently gain access to the Ship. With quest markers enabled, you'll spot Merchantburg's marker in the northeast corner of the map. To reach it, sail west from the coast, which will lead you to the easternmost edge of the eastern continent.
Although the orbs can be collected in any order, prioritizing the establishment of Merchantburg right after obtaining the ship is advisable. This decision allows the town ample time to develop, a prerequisite for obtaining the Yellow Orb. By setting up Merchantburg early, you can pursue the other orbs while periodically returning to check on its progress.
### How to Establish Merchantburg in Dragon Quest 3 Remake:
Before setting sail for Merchantburg (???), recruit a new Merchant at PALS in Aliahan. Upon arrival at Merchantburg, head to the only structure available. Inside, an old man will express his desire to establish a new town but lacks a Merchant. Offer your new recruit, and watch as your Merchant leaves the party to start the town, which will now be officially named.
After founding the town, proceed with your quest for the Purple Orb from Orochi's Lair and the Blue Orb from Gaia's Navel. As you progress, you'll receive notifications prompting you to revisit Merchantburg.
Merchantburg will undergo five stages of growth. Each visit will show the town expanding, culminating in the construction of a large club. On your fourth visit, you'll notice your Merchant's growing ego might be rubbing the townsfolk the wrong way, signaling the impending end of their reign and the nearing availability of the Yellow Orb.
