Bandai Namco Partners with Rebel Wolves for Upcoming Dark Fantasy Action RPG, Dawnwalker

Bandai Namco Entertainment, the publisher behind Elden Ring, has announced a global publishing agreement with Rebel Wolves for their debut Action RPG, Dawnwalker. This exciting partnership promises to bring a new dark fantasy experience to players worldwide.

Rebel Wolves, a Polish studio founded by key members of the Witcher 3 development team, is poised to launch Dawnwalker in 2025 for PC, PS5, and Xbox.

Dawnwalker, a story-driven AAA title, is set in a medieval European world infused with dark fantasy elements, targeting a mature audience. Further details are anticipated in the coming months.

Tomasz Tinc, Rebel Wolves' chief publishing officer, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting Bandai Namco's reputation for narrative-driven RPGs and their shared values. Bandai Namco's VP of business development, Alberto Gonzalez Lorca, emphasized Dawnwalker's significance to their Western market strategy, underscoring the potential for global reach.

Leading the creative charge is Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, a veteran of CD Projekt Red and lead quest designer on The Witcher 3, who joined Rebel Wolves earlier this year as creative director. Co-founder and narrative director Jakub Szamalek, also a CD Projekt Red alumnus, confirms Dawnwalker as a new IP with a scope comparable to The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine expansion, promising a non-linear narrative.

Tomaszkiewicz emphasizes the game's design to offer player choice and replayability. The team's dedication to crafting a rich and engaging experience is palpable, and fans eagerly await further reveals.
