Vikings Freeze the North in Vinland Tales

Colossi Games, creators of Gladiators: Survival in Rome and Daisho: Survival of a Samurai, have launched their latest casual survival game, Vinland Tales. This isometric adventure transports players to the frigid north, where they assume the role of a Viking chieftain establishing a new colony.

Fans of Colossi's previous titles will find familiar elements: an isometric viewpoint, low-poly visuals, and relatively accessible survival mechanics. The core gameplay revolves around colony building, clan management, and resource gathering.

Beyond the core mechanics, Vinland Tales offers a wealth of additional content, including minigames, guilds, talent trees, quests, and dungeons. Cooperative play allows players to team up with friends.

A Viking Adventure

One potential concern is Colossi Games' rapid release schedule. While their ambition to explore diverse settings and eras is commendable, it raises questions about the depth of each game. The success of Vinland Tales hinges on whether it offers enough engaging content to stand out in a crowded market.
