Looking back on the year? Snapchat's new 2024 Snap Recap feature makes it easy. Unlike detailed statistical recaps from other platforms, Snap Recap offers a fun, visual journey through your 2024 memories.

What is Snap Recap?

New for 2024, Snap Recap compiles your year's Snaps into a short video montage. Instead of focusing on statistics, it showcases a single Snap from each month, offering a curated glimpse into your year. The recap seamlessly transitions into your Memories, allowing you to explore further flashbacks from previous years.

How to View Your Snap Recap

Accessing your recap is simple:

1. On the main camera screen, swipe up to open Memories (don't press the shutter button).
2. Locate your highlighted "Your 2024 Snap Recap" video. It's usually prominently displayed.

Tap the video (avoiding the share icon) to start playback. The recap automatically scrolls through your chosen Snaps. Tap the screen to speed up the playback. You can save, edit, or share your recap like any other Snap, including posting it to your Story.

Why Don't I Have a Snap Recap?

If your Snap Recap isn't appearing, don't worry. Snapchat's rollout is gradual. Your recap might not be generated yet. The frequency of your Snap usage also plays a role; infrequent use may result in no recap. Unfortunately, you can't request one if it doesn't appear.
