"Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 Delayed to October 2025"

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has encountered yet another delay, pushing its release to October 2025. This latest postponement, announced in a recent game update video by publisher Paradox Interactive and developer The Chinese Room, marks a slight shift from the previously anticipated launch in the first half of 2025. However, fans can take some comfort in knowing that the game is now complete.

“The status of the game right now is that the game is done,” stated Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Executive Producer Marco Behrmann. “We are currently focusing on bug fixing, stability, and performance so that we can deliver the best experience to you guys once it releases.”

While the delay adds to the long list of setbacks fans have faced over the years, the update video offers some positive news. The Chinese Room has enhanced the game with additional content, deeper narrative, and more character development since the last major update. They've also teased an "evolved role" for the character Fabien in the storyline. However, the frequency of development updates will decrease, as announced on the official Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 X/Twitter page.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been plagued by delays since its announcement in 2019, when it was set to be developed by Hardsuit Labs with a planned release in Q1 2020. Subsequent delays pushed the release to late 2020, then to 2021, and were accompanied by layoffs at Hardsuit in March 2021. In a significant change, Hardsuit was replaced by The Chinese Room in 2023, aiming for a 2024 launch. Now, with the latest delay, the game is set to finally launch in October 2025.

Despite the numerous setbacks, The Chinese Room remains confident about the upcoming release. Paradox Interactive has hinted that, should Bloodlines 2 achieve a successful launch, a different developer will take on the development of a potential Bloodlines 3.
