Turtle Beach is Ending Its Partnership With Dr Disrespect

Following recent allegations surrounding his 2020 Twitch ban, Turtle Beach has terminated its partnership with Dr Disrespect. The gaming accessory manufacturer had a long-standing relationship with the streamer, including a collaborative headset.

The allegations, made by former Twitch employee Cody Conners, claim Dr Disrespect engaged in inappropriate conduct involving a minor via Twitch's Whispers feature. These claims prompted a significant backlash, leading several partners to re-evaluate their relationships with the streamer.

Turtle Beach confirmed to IGN the end of their partnership, which included a multi-year deal signed in 2020 and the release of a Dr Disrespect-themed headset. The streamer's merchandise has since been removed from Turtle Beach's website.

This isn't Dr Disrespect's only recent partnership loss. Midnight Society, a game studio he co-founded, also severed ties, citing a shift in perspective following the surfacing of the allegations. While initially presuming his innocence, Midnight Society ultimately decided to part ways.

Dr Disrespect continues to deny any wrongdoing, asserting the matter was resolved with Twitch in 2020. He's also announced a break from streaming, potentially extending his planned vacation in light of the current situation. The duration of his hiatus and future plans remain unclear.
