Riyo Games' upcoming turn-based JRPG, Threads of Time, a nostalgic homage to classic titles like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy, is coming to Xbox and PC! This modern take on retro charm and cutting-edge visuals was unveiled at Tokyo Game Show 2024's Xbox showcase.

Generating considerable buzz, Threads of Time is poised to compete with the critically acclaimed Sea of Stars as a spiritual successor to Square Enix's Chrono series. This retro-style RPG from Riyo Games promises a captivating story and charming visuals.

"At Riyo Games, we aim to create retro-inspired RPGs that evoke cherished childhood memories," the studio stated in its press release. "Our journey began with a childhood pact—two friends, huddled around a CRT TV, vowed to one day craft epic, narrative-driven adventures together."

Boasting stunning 2.5D pixel art, Threads of Time features a diverse cast of characters from various eras. Players will journey through centuries, from the age of dinosaurs to a futuristic world of robots, to unravel a sinister plot threatening the very fabric of time. The game also incorporates high-quality anime cutscenes to enhance its narrative.
