Solo Leveling: Arise’s 2025 Championship prelims begin February 21st, pitting players against the clock for the fastest clear times. The top competitors will vie for a significant portion of a substantial prize pool at the April finals.
Competitive gaming is ubiquitous these days, and for good reason. Esports significantly contributes to the longevity of many games. Netmarble’s Solo Leveling: Arise Championship 2025 (announced earlier this year) aims to bring this competitive spirit to their popular manhwa-inspired game.
The Solo Leveling: Arise Championship is a surprising but welcome addition. Starting February 21st and running until March 9th, preliminary applications open to players with 1000+ points in Battlefield of Time Season 7. The competition features separate Asian and International leagues, utilizing four maps from Battlefield of Time.
Players will race through these four maps, with their combined fastest times determining their rank. The top eight from each league advance to the SLC grand finals in Korea on April 12th, competing for the lion's share of a 20 million KRW prize pool.
A Solo Competitive Scene?
While a competitive championship for a primarily single-player game might seem unusual, the immense popularity of Solo Leveling’s source material and South Korea’s vibrant esports scene suggest this tournament will attract a large audience.
