Niantic has just announced the exciting details for Pokémon GO Fest 2025, along with two additional January events. Get ready for a summer of Pokémon adventures!
Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration
Mark your calendars! Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza spanning three global cities:
- Osaka, Japan: May 29 - June 1
- Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6 - June 8
- Paris, France: June 13 - June 15

This annual event offers exclusive in-game items, unique gameplay, and incredible bonuses. In-person attendees can experience city-wide activities, meet fellow trainers, and snag exclusive merchandise. Expect rare Pokémon encounters, increased Shiny Pokémon rates, and themed event activities.
In-person events will feature exclusive merchandise, themed zones, community hubs, and team lounges for socializing. While specifics are still under wraps, expect a similar level of excitement and engagement as previous years.
January Events: Shadow Pokémon and Fashion Week!
Beyond the summer extravaganza, Niantic has announced two exciting events for January 2025:
Fashion Week: Taken Over: January 15th (12:00 pm) - January 19th (8:00 pm) local time. This event features Shadow Palkia, the debut of Shroodle and Grafaiai (hatchable from 12 km Eggs), other Shadow Pokémon encounters, and a stylish Croagunk sighting!
Shadow Raid Day: January 19th (2:00 pm - 5:00 pm) local time. Take on Five-Star Shadow Raids to capture Shadow Ho-Oh. A $5 USD ticket grants eight additional Raid Passes, increased chances for Rare Candy XL, 2x Stardust, and 50% more XP from Raids. Shiny Ho-Oh awaits, and lucky trainers can teach their Ho-Oh the signature move, Sacred Fire!
