Mastering the Pause Function in Monster Hunter Wilds
While Monster Hunter Wilds shines as a multiplayer experience, solo players also deserve a break. This guide explains how to pause the game.
Pausing During Solo Quests and Hunts
To pause your solo game, access the in-game menu using the Options button. Navigate to the Systems tab (using L1 or R1) and select "Pause Game" (using the X button). Resume gameplay by pressing the Circle button or R3. This functionality is available even during hunts or combat, providing a much-needed pause for real-life interruptions.
Multiplayer Pause Limitations
Unfortunately, pausing isn't possible in multiplayer mode. If other players are in your lobby or party, the pause function is disabled. In such situations, strategically position your character in a safe location to avoid taking damage while briefly attending to real-world matters. Remember that monster health increases with more players, so extended AFK periods could hinder your team's progress.
