Blizzard finds itself at the heart of another Overwatch 2 controversy. A new Lucio skin, the Cyber DJ, initially priced at $19.99, was later revealed to be free.

The Cyber DJ skin appeared in the in-game store, only to be offered for free a day later to Twitch viewers watching a one-hour broadcast on February 12th. This understandably angered players who had already purchased the skin.

This isn't the first time Blizzard has sold cosmetic items and then offered them for free. Players are demanding refunds, citing unfair practices. While the Cyber DJ skin has been removed from the store, Blizzard hasn't addressed refund requests.

Facing stiff competition, particularly from the successful Marvel Rivals, Blizzard announced a special Overwatch 2 Spotlight event on February 12th to showcase significant gameplay changes. This event will unveil new maps, heroes, and other content, with prominent streamers invited to Blizzard headquarters for an exclusive preview.
