Marvel's Moon Knight: Future Appearances Confirmed, But No Season 2

While a second season of Moon Knight on Disney+ is unlikely, Marvel Studios head Brad Winderbaum confirmed to ComicBook that Oscar Isaac's character will return to the MCU in some capacity. This shift in strategy reflects a change in Marvel Television's approach.

Previously, Marvel Television focused on establishing characters through individual shows before integrating them into larger MCU projects, as seen with Ms. Marvel and The Marvels. However, the current focus is on creating self-contained, annually released series, more akin to traditional television.

Winderbaum stated, "Moon Knight happened in a wave of shows that were going to establish characters that would tie-in to the future…moving forward our priorities have shifted. We’re making shows as shows that can exist as annual releases, more like television. I would love to see a Moon Knight Season 2, but there are plans for Moon Knight down the road.”

While Isaac voiced Moon Knight in Marvel's What If…?, his live-action return remains unannounced.

The MCU's upcoming Disney+ shows include Daredevil: Born Again (March), Ironheart (June), Eyes of Wakanda (August), Marvel Zombies (October), and Wonder Man (December). Recent reports indicate that Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc. are currently paused, but Winderbaum hinted at the possibility of a Defenders reunion, bringing back Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist.
