Rifts are rarely good news in gaming, but Avid Games has embraced the chaos with Eerie Worlds, the highly anticipated sequel to Cards, the Universe and Everything. This tactical CCG shifts the focus to monsters—monsters emerging from rifts, to be precise.

Avid Games has crafted a visually stunning array of monsters, each inspired by real-world horrors from mythology and folklore.

The game boasts an impressive roster, encompassing creatures from diverse cultures. Expect encounters with Japanese Yokai like Jikininki and Kuchisake, alongside Slavic monsters such as Vodyanoy and Psoglav. Bigfoot, Mothman, the Nandi Bear, El Chupacabra, and countless others from around the globe populate the game, each accompanied by detailed, researched descriptions.

Eerie Worlds features four Alliances (Grimbald, Zerrofel, Rivin, and Synnig) and multiple Hordes, creating strategic depth through varied monster properties. Your monster collection, known as your Grimoire, can be upgraded by merging duplicate cards. The initial 160 basic cards are just the beginning, with more to be added soon.

Avid Games plans to release two additional Hordes in the coming months, ensuring Eerie Worlds offers lasting replayability.

Gameplay involves a nine-card deck (eight monsters, one world card) and nine fast-paced, 30-second turns. Strategic choices regarding mana usage and synergy exploitation are paramount.

Prepare for a challenging yet rewarding experience. Eerie Worlds is available now for free on the Google Play Store and the App Store – download it here.
