Monster Hunter Wilds February Open Beta Features New Monsters and Content

Monster Hunter Wilds is gearing up for a second Open Beta, giving players another shot at the action and showcasing new features. Here's how to join the hunt!

New Monster, New Opportunities

Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? Fear not! A second Open Beta Test is confirmed for the first two weeks of February.

Following the success of the initial beta, this second phase offers another chance to experience the game before its official February 28th launch. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto made the announcement via a video on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel.

The Open Beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time around, it includes new content, notably the addition of the Gypceros, a familiar foe from the series.

Character data from the first beta carries over and can be transferred to the full game. However, progress won't be saved. Participating beta testers receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a special bonus item pack for the full game.

"Many players missed the first beta or wanted a second chance," Tsujimoto explained. "The team is working hard to finalize the full game." While a pre-launch community update video detailed planned improvements, these won't be included in this beta.
