Monster Hunter Wilds has achieved a remarkable milestone, selling over 8 million units in just 3 days. This incredible feat marks it as Capcom's fastest-selling game to date, despite some existing bugs. Dive into the details of Capcom’s latest success and the updates surrounding Monster Hunter Wilds.
Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has set a new record for Capcom, selling over 8 million units within just 3 days of its release. Capcom proudly announced this achievement on their official website, highlighting MH Wilds as the fastest-selling title in the company's history.
SteamDB reports indicate that MH Wilds has been a hit since its launch, reaching over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam, despite receiving mixed reviews. Capcom credits this success to their relentless promotional efforts, participation in global video game events, and an open beta test that allowed players to experience the game firsthand.
MH Wilds has recently tackled several bugs that were hindering player progress. The official Monster Hunter support account, Monster Hunter Status, announced on Twitter (X) on March 4, 2025, that the hot fix patch Ver.1.000.04.00 is now available on all platforms.
This update resolved issues such as the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features not unlocking despite meeting the criteria, the Monster Field Guide not being accessible, and a critical bug that blocked story progression in Chapter 5-2 "A World Turned Upside Down," among others. Players are required to update the game to continue playing online.
However, not all issues have been resolved. Some bugs, including a network error when players use an SOS flare after starting a quest, and Palico’s blunt weapon attacks not causing stun and exhaust damage, remain unaddressed. These multiplayer-related bugs are expected to be fixed in an upcoming patch.
