While the gameplay might evoke comparisons to Rocket League, it bears a closer resemblance to Overwatch's Lucioball, its inaugural special game mode. This is a noteworthy parallel, considering Marvel Rivals' current trajectory. The game has arguably outgrown its Overwatch comparisons and needs unique content to establish its own identity.
