The eagerly awaited official trailer for the live-action remake of *Lilo & Stitch* has been released, offering fans an exciting glimpse into the world of this beloved classic. The trailer showcases Maia Kealoha's portrayal of Lilo, originally played by Daveigh Chase in the 2002 animated film, as well as Courtney B. Vance's depiction of the serious yet endearing Cobra Bubbles, and Billy Magnussen's take on the quirky Pleakley.
While previous teasers have focused heavily on Stitch, this new trailer puts Lilo in the spotlight, highlighting Kealoha's interpretation of the character. It also introduces us to the dynamic between Cobra Bubbles, Zach Galifianakis' Jumba, and Pleakley, with an intriguing twist: Jumba and Pleakley appear disguised as humans for part of the film, though we do catch a brief glimpse of Pleakley in his alien form.
The trailer faithfully recreates several iconic scenes from the original, such as Stitch's dramatic entrance as a falling star, his transformation to blend in at the shelter, and the heartfelt moment when Lilo explains, "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."
*Lilo & Stitch* is set to hit theaters on May 23, 2025, marking another live-action adaptation of a cherished Disney film. It follows closely on the heels of the live-action *Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs*, scheduled for release on March 21, 2025.
