KonoSuba: Fantastic Days to Conclude Service in January 2025
The popular mobile RPG, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, developed by Sesisoft, will cease operations on January 30th, 2025, marking the end of its nearly five-year run. Both global and Japanese servers will shut down simultaneously. However, developers are planning a limited offline version, preserving the main storyline, key quests, and events for players to revisit. Details on this offline version remain scarce.
In-App Purchases and Refunds
The official channels for KonoSuba: Fantastic Days will close on February 28th, 2025. In-app purchases were disabled on October 31st, 2024. Players can still utilize existing in-game Quartz and items until the service ends. Refunds for unused Quartz or unclaimed purchases from early 2024 are available until January 30th, 2025, for eligible players.
A Look Back at KonoSuba: Fantastic Days
Initially launched in Japan in February 2020 and globally in August 2021, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days was the first mobile game based on the KonoSuba franchise. The game's charming story, appealing visuals, and visual novel-style story mode were well-received.
Despite its positive aspects, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days follows a trend of anime game closures this year, often attributed to challenges in maintaining player engagement and the high costs associated with maintaining high production values.
Players who haven't experienced KonoSuba: Fantastic Days have a few remaining months to do so before the servers close. The game is available on the Google Play Store. For more gaming news, be sure to check out our article on Orna: The GPS MMORPG’s Conqueror’s Guild for PvP Battles.
