Warhorse Studios has unveiled an exciting free update for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II with version 1.2, bringing two major features to the forefront: native mod integration via Steam Workshop and a fresh barber shop system.
The Steam Workshop integration streamlines the process of discovering and installing mods directly within the game, eliminating the need for third-party platforms. However, this feature's success hinges on mod creators uploading their creations to Steam Workshop. Currently, only a few mods are available, including:
While the selection is currently limited, the modding community is poised to grow rapidly. With over a thousand mods already on Nexus Mods, many creators are likely to start sharing their work on both platforms. Though Steam Workshop might not match the scale of Nexus Mods, popular mods are expected to soon make their way there.

In addition to mod support, players can now visit NPC barbers in Rattay and Kuttenberg to change their hairstyle or beard design. Visiting a barber not only enhances your appearance but also temporarily boosts the protagonist's Charisma stat, regardless of the chosen style.
Update 1.2 extends well beyond these additions. The extensive changelog, available on the game's official website, reveals over a thousand fixes and improvements touching nearly every aspect of the game. These enhancements include balance adjustments, refined animations, and better NPC behavior. For instance, the crime system has been fine-tuned for greater accuracy.
Other notable updates include:
Warhorse Studios plans to provide a detailed look at these changes during a developer livestream scheduled for next Thursday. The studio remains dedicated to supporting the game, with three paid DLC expansions set for release in spring, summer, and winter.
With the integration of Steam Workshop, new cosmetic options, and a plethora of gameplay refinements, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II continues to evolve, offering players an increasingly immersive medieval experience.
